INVESTMENT PERFORMANCE

The Cultural Trust offers a strong value proposition for the investment management of nonprofits’ permanent funds. Because the Cultural Trust invests our assets with Foundation For The Carolinas’ $900 million portfolio, we can offer the following benefits to our clients:

  • Low investment fees
  • Access to top investment managers
  • Advice and counsel of Fund Evaluation Group - www.feg.com (a national investment consultant that doesn’t sell any product)
  • Advisory services of Fund Evaluation Group*
  • Experienced and timely investment oversight by the Cultural Trust’s Investment Committee
  • Enhanced donor confidence in making planned gifts

The Investment Committee meets quarterly with our investment consultant, Scott Harsh, President/CEO of Fund Evaluation Group (feg.com), to review fund performance and the investment managers. This arrangement is very efficient since it effectively taps the expertise of our community's most knowledgeable investment talent and relieves our nonprofit clients of the burden of having to separately select, monitor and evaluate allocation strategies. More importantly, our clients are confident that they enjoy the lowest fees. This arrangement offers tremendous savings in time and money.

Our strong investment performance also enhances donor confidence when it comes to making a decision of a bequest or planned gift. Many donors want to ensure that their funds will be expertly invested and that the capital will exist in perpetuity.

SHARED SAVINGS

Each cultural organization pays the same investment management fees and administrative fees, regardless of the overall value of its endowment funds. This philosophy of shared savings is the cornerstone of this partnership.

CHOOSE INVESTMENT ALLOCATION

Cultural organizations can choose to investment their funds with the Cultural Trust’s recommendation or select any one of the four investment allocations offered by Foundation For The Carolinas.
